Training on Rodby treadmills
brings a number of benefits for training, improvement and follow-up
Ability and improvement
One of the great advantages of the treadmill is that the training becomes very standardized, i.e. the conditions are constant.
Threshold training
Threshold training is used to push the so-called lactic acid threshold, ie the point when the body begins to form lactic acid (lactate).
Pulse-controlled training
With a Rodby treadmill is that you can easily control the intensity you want to train, this by you can have both slope and speed constant.
Improve VO2 max
To improve their VO2 max i.e. maximum oxygen uptake capacity is simple while it is possible to feel safe in the security belt.
Technique training
The practitioner is stationary, which allows effective technique training. Get real-time feedback from a coach, camera solutions or mirrors.
Exercise on GPX-tracks
Rodby's treadmill gives you the ability to import a GPX file created by a GPS device. Then you can train on the simulated course.
Rodby Control System 2.0
All new treadmills from Rodby come equipped with Control System 2.0, which includes a computer and a touch screen. The system interface is in English. The Control System 2.0 interface can be operated either via the touch screen or the keyboard and computer mouse, allowing you to choose the option that suits you best at any given moment. When the control system is used next to the treadmill, touch control is preferred. Additionally, it is possible to control a treadmill with Control System 2.0 using the Remote Control option with Bluetooth®, allowing you to maintain focus on your training. External communication via the Trackmaster RS-232 protocol can also control the treadmill. The interface supports two languages: Swedish and English. All treadmills delivered with Control System 2.0 have Pulse Control of belt speed as a standard feature.
For older treadmills, there is an option to upgrade to Control System 2.0 (refer to “Prices treadmills, options, and upgrades”).
Security
Rodby prioritizes the safety of treadmill users as a paramount concern. To ensure a high level of safety, all Rodby treadmills are equipped with an emergency stop system. This system comprises an IEC-standard pushbutton switch connected to the treadmill control system, strategically positioned for easy access by test leaders and practitioners.
In addition to the standard emergency stop system, Rodby offers several optional safety features. The Safety Framework with Emergency Switch and a Safety Belt or a Separate Emergency Switch, requiring roof or wall mounting, are among the commonly chosen options. Practitioners typically wear a Safety Harness or a Safety Waist Belt, connected to the treadmill’s Emergency Switch. If a practitioner stumbles or is unable to continue, moving too far back on the belt, the Emergency Switch is triggered, halting the treadmill. Additional safety measures may include an Extra Emergency Stop Button on the handrails or a Pull Emergency Stop Switch mounted on the front railing. These features collectively contribute to a comprehensive safety system for treadmill users.
Aquatrot
Physiotherapy rehabilitation of dogs with treadmill submerged in water tank
Rodby Aquatrot is a machine for physiotherapy rehabilitation of dogs where the treadmill is submerged in a water tank. The water tank has a door in the rear with a lock which is operated by the foot so that the therapist can handle the dog with his hands.
Unique to Rodby Aquatrot is that you can run continuous tests and rehabilitation sessions without other interruption than replacing the dog. It is because the Rodby Aquatrot has a continuous purification of the water. Our competitors have to make a pause of about 20 minutes to clean the water before a new dog can be admitted. This means greater efficiency in operations with many four-legged patients.
Delivery and Installation
Rodby products are meticulously designed, and we acknowledge the significance of smooth delivery and installation processes, especially in existing buildings. Every Rodby treadmill is delivered unassembled in parts on a delivery wagon and is then assembled and installed on-site. This approach ensures that all parts can easily pass through a standard door, a notable advantage when installing large treadmills in pre-existing premises.
An exemplary illustration of this seamless installation process is evident at the Winter Sports Center in Östersund. Here, Rodby’s largest treadmill was installed without any impact on the existing building, and the treadmill could effortlessly pass through existing doors without encountering any problems. This successful installation showcases the adaptability and convenience of Rodby products in various environments.
